Burials, 1865-1955. Trustees of the German Lutheran Church purchased land for the church and cemetery in 1863. The congregation later disbanded. It is said that the church records were destroyed in a fire. Some church officers and trustees of the German Lutheran Church participated in the 1869 formation of Trinity Church (predecessor of Trinity United Church of Christ). The Brookfield Cemetery Association maintained the cemetery until 1903, when it was sold to the Evangelical Lutheran Trinity Church. The cemetery is currently maintained by Trinity United Church of Christ. The church was built in or about 1849 as George WAGNER, son of Peter and Mary SITTLE WAGNER was born April 29th, 1850 and was the first child bapt in the Reformed Church. Later the congregation broke up and the present Reformed Church was built in 1865. Peter WAGNER came to Waukesha County in 1848."
