    1. Waukesha Surnames
    2. Gena
    3. The areas of interest in Waukesha County are Vernon, Mukwonago, and New Berlin. Surnames of interest are SCHMEAR, SCHMEER, ROGERS, FRANCIS, SCHIFFMAN(N), WINTRATH (plus a host of variations on that spelling), BRUNNER, SCHNEIDER, REINVANDT or REINWANDT(? spelling unknown). Through marriages of various ancestors, I have ties to surnames such as KLUG, GUNKEL, GIMLER, RENNER, SONNENBERG, WERTZ, and yet another SCHNEIDER. There are plenty more, but these are some of tha main surnames. With the exception of SCHMEAR, who arrived in Waukesha in 1882, the rest of these ancestors were all in the Waukesha County area between 1840 and 1850. Gena Schmear Dyer .....transplanted to Dallas from New Berlin
