Hi all, Researching from Hartland, Delafield, Pewaukee areas. MOUNT, Charles 1817 - 1895. Born Newington, Kent Eng. To US in 1844 married Angelina PYNN . 1830 - 1903. b. Harbour Grace, New Foundland. Her whole family came to US 1849, parents ( Edward and Ann) and 12 children. Any PYNN's in Waukesha Co. are probably from this line. Charles and Angelina were probably married 1851-52. Can find no record. They had 10 children, most stayed in area and Milwaukee. Started moving around some after parents deaths. the ones that moved came to California. Greetings. Am researching the name MAULE in Dousman. My ancestor Matthew Maule [along with his uncle(?) Duncan Maule and Duncan's wife Ann] emigrated to WI from Scotland in May, 1843 and settled in Dousman prior to 1850. Matthew married Elizabeth Thomas in 1849, and their son John Thomas Maule was born in 1850. Elizabeth died that year, and in 1856 Matthew remarried and moved away, leaving John Thomas in Dousman to be raised by Duncan and Ann. I am seeking further information. Nancy in Colorado

The areas of interest in Waukesha County are Vernon, Mukwonago, and New Berlin. Surnames of interest are SCHMEAR, SCHMEER, ROGERS, FRANCIS, SCHIFFMAN(N), WINTRATH (plus a host of variations on that spelling), BRUNNER, SCHNEIDER, REINVANDT or REINWANDT(? spelling unknown). Through marriages of various ancestors, I have ties to surnames such as KLUG, GUNKEL, GIMLER, RENNER, SONNENBERG, WERTZ, and yet another SCHNEIDER. There are plenty more, but these are some of tha main surnames. With the exception of SCHMEAR, who arrived in Waukesha in 1882, the rest of these ancestors were all in the Waukesha County area between 1840 and 1850. Gena Schmear Dyer .....transplanted to Dallas from New Berlin
I am researching the BLASING/BLAESING family of Elm Grove, Brookfield, and Waukesha. Also related familes: KLOCK, LEISCHER, and KEEBLER. James and Charles KLOCK came to Waukesha from Central New York between 1850 and 1855. August BLAESING came to Elm Grove via New York from Hansfelde, Posen, Prussia in 1855. The BLASING family remained in the Waukesha area until recently; the Klock name remains until about 1920. The KEEBLER family that I am researching still has descendants in Southeatern Wisconsin, mostly Milwaukee and Racine. Much of the LEISCHER family moved on to Minnesota, as did relatives of the BLASING and KLOCK families, which both have many descendants there. Any connections?? I am researching the STONE family. Hiram Hoyt STONE and his wife Elizabeth and their Children, Milton D., Jenny (who married a mayor of Waukesha - R.L. GOVE, Abner P., Hiram W. and Emily. They moved to Waukesha in the 1860s and Hiram H. had a general store in downtown area. He died in 1890. Elizabeth died about 1876 and Hiram married again after her death - an Abbie French. Milton D. Stone lived with his parents and his son, Frank B. Milton remarried in 1874 to Martha SHALLCROSS from England. They had 3 daughters. I do not know the name of Frank's mother - Milton's first wife. Frank, my great grandfather, was born in Port Washington, WI in 1857. In 1877 Frank married Katrin (Katherine) SIGURDSSON who had just immigrated in 1874 to the US with her father Simon and his wife Turidor from Iceland. Does anyone know of any others of Iceland descent who immigrated to the Waukesha area? If anyone is connected to these families I have a lot of information to share but of course am always looking for more. Joan
I am mainly researching the ECKEL surname in Waukesha county. The Eckels emigrated to the U. S. in 1844 and settled in Wisconsin shortly afterwards. There are also branches (children's marriages) with the following surnames: SOUR PFLUGER WAGNER There are probably others, but this is all the ones I have right now. If any of these names ring a bell with anyone, please contact me and I will give you the rest of the information that I have to try and find a connection. Thanks! I seem to be getting back alot of these responses at my email address. Would all of you prefer if I set the list so that it replies back to the list? Let me know... Also - glad to see so many of you responding. Things had been so quiet and according to my list there are 143 of us on this list.
