Whoops, missed a page. Along with those that are listed on the monuments, are about 160 more that are not. I have just uploaded them to the site. Follow the cemetery link to the Northview Cemetery Park Link and click on Page 2. Sorry about that. Thanks again to Bonnie Fritz for catching this and also donating all this info. http://www.rootsweb.com/~wiwaukes/indice.html Jan Waukesha County Coordinator
I'm trying to locate information on the death of my gr. gr. gr. grandfather, Timothy Hughes. He died on July 15, 1864 in Brookfield township. He is buried in St. Dominic's Cemetery. I have pictures of his headstone, but would like some type of record. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks so much. Mary
Thanks to those of you who sent info. I managed to get an email address and am going to pursue that avenue. Again Thank You for being such a great group and reaching out to help those with a question. Jan
I stand corrected by another list member: For Waukesha County, as for Milwaukee County, the County Historical Society holds most of the naturalization papers. Penny
My understanding is that Waukesha County naturalization papers are in the hands of Waukesha County Court in Waukesha.
To to hjttp://www.uwm.edu/Library/arch/lcomm/waukesha.htm to find out all about it. Eric is the Archivist and very helpful on the telephone. I've just started a Photo Album Page on the Waukesha County site and all I have are a few photos - which you will find under Villages and Towns..... and a few more I want to transfer over from the site..... What we need are family photographs from the old pioneer days, post cards, school photos, landmarks, etc. that you would be willing to scan for the site..... Stop in and take a look at what I am talking about. http://www.rootsweb.com/~wiwaukes/indice.html Jan Waukesha County Coordinator
This is a great place. It is in the old County Courthouse. I am sure you can look the phone number up on the internet. (I live in Colorado, so it makes just as much sense for you to do it.) One great thing they have is copies of the discharge information for WWII soldiers from the county. I found substantial info on my father's Army Air Corps service -- invaluable since, as you know , most of those records were destroyed and probably I would never have his unit, etc., etc., otherwise. Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew the best place to try to get ahold of first papers. I found out that one of my ancestors filed his intent to naturalize on 24 Mar 1847 in Waukesha County, Wisconsin. There is very little information on them, and I wanted to see if I could track down any of the other naturalization documents. Any help will be greatly appreciated! "-) Thanks! "-) Sincerely, Justina Cook justinacook@juno.com
Stop by the Waukesha County site and take a look at the Northview Cemetery Park Burials, formerly Pauper's Cemetery. Thanks to Bonnie Fritz for this contribution. http://www.rootsweb.com/~wiwaukes/indice.html Jan Waukesha County Coordinator

Sue Ellen, Thank you for your information. I am helping my wife, Audrey Hartline Mikolasek rearch for information on her gfather, John G. Hartline and gmother, Annie Shersmith who lived in Summit Twn. and later Delafield, WI. 1885 to 1926. They belonged to a Catholic parish somewhere in the area. Regards, Doug
