Kevin-Don't worry about it. There are some neurotic list owners out there who want to control everything. I recently ran into one elsewhere myself. Best wishes and thanks for letting us know of your offer. --Pam Berger Kevin Frye wrote: > Thanks for the kind words Frank but even with my oppology listed,,,I still > get slammed for offering my SPAM.....Just got slammed by a webowner of > another Wisconsin county site for making my FREE 1 time offer...without > asking permission to may my offer... and that she instantly unsubscribed > me,,,,,LOL Go figgure....I thought these sites were for people helping > people....If not...I wonder what those people do in Grant... > > Have a great evening. > > Kevin > > -

I, myself do Volunteer research at Andersonville Civil War Prison in Andersonville Georgia. There are Any research I do is absolutely at NO cost and I am willing to do what I can. There are 629 prisoners on record from the state of Wisconsin and almost 300 who died here, I thought I would send my offer. I feel the need to say I am not in anyway trying to focus on the horrors of Andersonville compared to any POW camp in the north ..( i.e.Elmira ) or any others and do not wish to stir up arguments on this site. My focus is dedicated to ALL of those held prisoner during this war , on both sides as well as all Americans who gave their freedoms for those that we enjoy today.. I just happen to be near Andersonville so this is where I do my work. My last information on her was the 1870 Federal census for Wisconsin showing her at 15 years of age, domestic servant, living with Jonathan and Margaretha Brown in Granville, Milwaukee County. I'm hoping she may show up in Waukesha County in 1875. Any help will be most appreciated. Thank you.

My maiden name is Cobb... so it is interesting to track the name back... My Dad's grandfather was Osgood C. Cobb, named after his uncle, Osgood P. Chubb. Osgood Cobb died in Hardin County Iowa, where my grandpa was born. My grandpa, Gerald Nelson Cobb died in 1968 in southwest Washington, when I was 8 years old. Not too much is known about the family history beyond Osgood Cobb, who was a jeweler. It is all a learning experience. I really do appreciate any assistance at all. You have been great. Thanks!!!
Dear List, I recently found out that the Ancestry message board can be gatewayed to this mailing list. What this means, is anything posted on the message board, will also appear as a post on this list. Hopefully doing this will help all of you researchers find more connections, without having the hassle of having two places to monitor. The Gateway messages will appear like the one below. If you have any questions, please let me know.
