I went to a little cemetery in Brookfield, Waukesha County cemetery and got all the names and dates off of the gravestones. Here are the surnames....if you reconize any of them as someone that could have been in your family let me know and I will see if they are buried there. It is a cemetery mostly with Civil War Vets, some were just civilians though. It was established in 1850 and the latest date of death that I found is about 1926 (that I can remember). Some World War 1 vets are buried there also. Here are the Surnames. White, Ormond, Dixon, Barker, Celley, Powers, Wadsworth, Ryan, Lumb, Philbrook, Howard, Carlton, Carleton, Gray, Faulkner, Daunber, Blodgett, Strong, Jay, Hart, Gillett, Bolster, Taylor, Sherwood, Fessenbecker, Howart, Groot, Chaflin, Davis, Chapin, Russell, Freudberg, Colby, Churchill, Rathbun, Aucusta, Putney, Seymour, Brownell, maynard, Beighton, Winzenrier (?), Wells, Ramsteck, Booth, Nixon, Tucker, Wright and Lieske. There is/was a property known as the "Trimborn Farm" located on Grange Ave between 84th St and 92nd St in Greendale, WI. I don't know whether this was set aside as a historical site or may still be. I believe it is close to or part of the??? the Jeremiah Curtain site in the exact same area as noted above. There are a number of Salentine's in the Muskego, WI area (Waukesha County) including a Salentine Pontiac dealership. I'm not sure what the relationship of all of them are to each other, if any. Hope this helps. I'm only aware of the above as I live in the area. -----Original Message----- From: gc-gateway@rootsweb.com [mailto:gc-gateway@rootsweb.com]On Behalf Of drbobleahy@email.msn.com Sent: Wednesday, September 11, 2002 3:37 PM To: WIWAUKES-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [WIWAUKES] Re: Salentine This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. I did try to E-mail John and Valerie and discovered that the address was no longer valid. I got an address for a Joseph Donahue of Wilmington, DE, who submitted a tree to Genealogy.com with Stephen and Catherine (Trimborn) Salentine listed--also showing a daughter, Mary. I've just finished a note to him to see if he has more info. The Stephen Salentine you mentioned would be an uncle to the Stephen who married Catherine Trimborn. My Stephen's father was Mathias. I think I have my Stephen's DOB/DOD figured out: b. 1847, d. 14 JAN 1887. Haven't tried to locate Mathias Trimborn in the 1850 Census yet, but that should verify the info. All for now. Will let you know if I hear anything from the guy in DE. --Bob

I am related through the Salentine, Kolfenbach, Harmeyer, Haslam branch. While I was searching, I stumbled on to a site by John and Valerie Salentine. On the site they list your Stephen Salentine married to Catherine Trimborn. They don't have a birthdate for Stephen, but do have a death date: WFT. EST. 1880-1955. I'm not sure what that means. There is noting for Catherine. This Stephen is not on my "branch", also a Stephen Salentine married to Mary Koetting. It shows this Stephen with a birthdate-1831 and death date- 1905.The e-mail address for John and Valerie Salentine is not valid. There is a snail mail address. If you want to persue, please e-mail me. A little background, I grew up around East Troy and Mukwonago, my parents knew some people named Leahy. Take care, let me know if you need that address. Cindy
