    2. David Wade
    3. Hi, I am hoping someone can help me find information co cerning my grandmother, Charlotte (Lottie) Sowatzke. According to information found in my grandfather's obituary, my grandfather, August Schalla married Charlotte Sowatzke, April 14, 1886 at Waukesha, WI. I have written to the Waukesha County, Register of Deeds. They told me to contact the State of Wisconsin which I did without any luck. I wrote to the Waukesha County Genealogical Society and the Waukesha County Historical Society and Museum, also without any luck. My grandmother was born August 11, 1868, in East Prussia. I would like to find out where in East Prussia she was born, when she came to America (the year is unclear on the 1920 Census), and if she came alone or with her parents, etc. I would be happy to have any information or suggestions where to find these answers. Thank you, Lois Wade

    2. I was reading the messages about the Baptist Church in Waukesha. My gggrandfathere and his parents were members there. I found this on a film of the membership of the church at the FHC. Are there any other records of the members kept at the church? My ggg grandmother died in 1870s and I was wondering if they would have any information about her - mainly her maiden name. Her married name was Elizabeth Stone, wife of Hiram Hoyt Stone. Joan

I have written a book titled "MILWAUKEE-WAUKESHA COUNTY GENEALOGY (Elm Grove, Franklin, Hales Corners, Muskego, New Berlin, and Oak Creek) " The George Fletcher family is included in this work. The only William Fletcher from this family that might fit is the son of Chester Fletcher and Marjorie Menick. In 1980 Chester lived in Greenfield, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. William Fletcher, the son was married to Shirley Hibbard and in 1980, lived in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. They had three children who's names are unknown to me. There is a John Fletcher in this family who was married to Bertha Kaebisch, but he would be too old to be your father. John and Bertha resided in Muskego, Waukesha, Wisconsin. Happy hunting--Sue
