My mother-in-law is his cousin and she wants to find him. I put his name in the people finder of Yahoo and it came up with two Milo's. One was for Wasukesha, Wisconsin. I called directory assistance but they didn't have a listing for him. Milo was born 5 June 1919 in Clinton, Iowa. He would be 83. If anyone has any information on him, please let me know. Thanks for your time. Sheila Smith

She gave birth to my father, Lyle Foster, in Minneapolis/St. Paul, and then abandoned him as an infant. It is my understanding that she never married Charles Foster, my paternal grandfather, and that she returned to a husband and children she already had in Wisconsin. I don't know if Marczinke was her maiden name, or a married name. My father was raised by his father and paternal grandmother, Constance Foster, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, until the age of 10. He never had any (known) siblings, and he spent the remainder of his life in South Texas. I have never known any more about my grandmother, and the Fosters in Minnesota were never able to shed any light. My late father never knew her or anything of her wherabouts, which was always painful . I am sure she is deceased by now, but I would like to find her family, which is my family, and come to know more about my ancestry.

No problem, Ellen. Glad to know I'm not the only one who messes up once in a while! Sherry
Dear Ellen, Thank you so much for your kindness; I appreciate your help more than you know. My address is below. I am a Wisconsinite, born in Milwaukee and raised in Brookfield; I'm also a die-hard third generation Pack Fan! My job brought me down here to the flatlands of Illinois and I sure do miss the Milwaukee area. Best regards, Sherry Brown 201 N. Tyler Road, # 336 St. Charles, IL 60174
I messed up! I looked up June instead of August. I will go back tomorrow and re-research that for you. By the time I got to yours I must have read it wrong and transposed the month from the previous thing I was looking up. I will be going to the Brookfield Library today and will take a peak for you. Hopefully they have microfiche/film for the year you are looking for. I don't know if they carry the Journal for that year. I will check. I will let you know what I find. Dear List Members, I'm wondering if anyone has access to old copies of the Brookfield News and would be willing to make a copy of a couple of items from August 1966. I don't remember if BN was still weekly at that time or daily. On August 2, 1966, Michael T. Ledebur, was killed in Vietnam. There was a short article about his death in the paper, also an obituary. I would like to have a zerox copy of both. Also would like a copy of his obit from the Milwaukee Journal, if that's not too much trouble. It would mean a great deal to me to have those clippings, and I would be happy to reimburse you for your time and copying expenses. Thank you very much, Sherry Brown St. Charles, IL 60174
Thanks for the offer. But even reading each page I cannot find them to give you a page number. I know they were there because they never left Pewaukee. I think there is currently a convent in Pewaukee named Our Lady of the Oaks. Could this be the same place? Contact either the Waukesha County Historical Society & Museum http://www.waukeshacountymuseum.org/ or Pewaukee Area Historical Society PO Box 104 Pewaukee, WI 53072 Shari > I am looking for information on Our Lady of the Oaks. Does anyone have a good copy of the 1920 census for Pewaukee Township? The one on Ancestry is almost unreadable. Thanks, Betsy Researching GORTNER, SMITH, BOLTZ, FASOLD, HARDY, POPPE, HEINZELMANN, WORTZ
I am looking for information on Our Lady of the Oaks. I understand it was a TB sanatorium in the 1900's. So far I have not been able to find anything about it on the web. Thanks, Betsy

It has come to my attention that there is possibly a new scam lurking out there. Genealogy Giants. > > http://www.genealogygiants.com/ > > For $40 you get a magic self-updating CD chock full of > genealogy. They are using the same form server as > genseekers.com and are located in the same geographic > area as genseekers.com Genseekers are known scammers and are listed on my Genealogy Scam page. http://www.linkstothepast.com/waukesha/genscams.html Please do not purchase anything from them, the CD is most likely full of stuff that you can already get on the internet for free. Surnames: Nugent Classification: Marriage Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/TFC.2ACE/613 Message Board Post: I am trying to find out the marriage date of Thomas Nugent (1848-1924) and Mary Ann Flanagan (1852-1891). Thomas was born on the family farm (Francis Nugent) around Mapleton. They were probably married about 1875. They ended up living in Dodge county and having children in Randolph. Thomas ended up in ND after Mary's death. I am unable to find any records despite an extensive search. Would you have any recommendations?
In the Spring of l9l3, my grandmother's youngest sister Mary Jane PRICE (b. Dowlais, South Wales l895) emigrated from the Rhondda Valley, S. Wales together with her eldest brother Stephen PRICE (b. Herefordshire England l879) and his family. According to a document I hold they "answered the call of the Metropolitan Mission to assist a Mr Ernest FORDHAM with his wheat crop of 640 acres near Saskatoon, Canada". A number of BibleSchool men from Waukesha, Wisconsin, joined the working party. Rev. Charles FORDHAM, missionary, was their pastor. Mary went to work for his family, I understand, where she was much loved. Shortly after, Stephen PRICE was asked to pastor a group of Church families that had settled in Seattle, Washington and Mary became a matron in various missionary homes eventually marrying a Rev. Ray SPOORS and settling in Lake Geneva, Wisonsin. She died in l973. Perhaps someone can connect - or help with local knowledge? Regards Diane Johansen Surrey, England, UK

A few of the prominent members ended up in the Eureka area, and per the typescript Hager history by Ethel Lynn Hager Perry, Daniel Sr. died in Eureka and is supposedly buried there, although I've never found a stone there for him. He is almost certainly not buried with his wife, Lovice King Hager in Jo Daviess, IL. Drop me a line and I'll send the extract, and I can also provide the full King line back to the immigrant ancestor, as well as many others. I descend from Daniel Jr through his son Willard, his grandaughter Myrtle Bernice Hager being my grandmother. Where do you plug in?
