    2. I don't think it was Trinity Church, Brookfield, but you might want to take a look at Friedens Church, Milwaukee. Milwaukee UIrban Archives owns those microfilms. I feel pretty certain I have seen these folks in those records... 3. Clifton Vernon is on the 1930 census living as a lodger without any family in Waukesha County. What was his wife's name? Did she stay in Waukesha county? Maybe I could find her on the 1930 census, and that should have all the children on it with her unless they were living with relatives or something at the time. There's a Clifton Vernon on the Wisconsin death index who died in 1973. Here's his entry: ***** [Wisconsin Death Index, 1959-1979] Name: Vernon, Clifton L. DOD: 16 Jan 1973 Place: Waukesha, Waukesha, Wisconsin Age: 72 Male ***** [1930 Census for Ward 2, Waukesha, Waukesha, Wisconsin] Enumeration Date: 11 April 1930 Address: 627 Madison Head: Howard, Carrie Vernon, Clifton--Lodger--M--W--Age: 31--Single--Born: Wisconsin--F. b. Wisconsin--M. b. Wisconsin--Occ: Machinist/Motor Works ***** I hope these help! Take care! 2. David Wade
    3. Hi, I am wondering if anyone can try and find some information on this surname (plus other variations)? It seems that so many of the relatives I have found so far, first lived in Waukesha for a few years before moving to the Pittsville and Wisconsin Rapids area. So far I have John Sowazke and his wife who came from Germany (East Prussia) in June 1879 and lived for two years in Waukesha before moving to the Wisconsin Rapids and Pittsville area. Also, Gottfried Sowatzke, born Oct. 1, 1858, came from Germany in 1880 with his wife Charlotte (Bach) and settled in the Waukesha area for six years before moving to Pittsville. Their sister Mrs. Antone Voight (Mary Sowatzke) appears to be still living in Waukesha in 1940, but she is listed as a Mrs. Mary Voight in her brother's obituary. My grandmother, Charlotte Sowatzke married my grandfather, August Schalla, April 14, 1886. I would to hear about any information that can be found concerning this family name from this area. Thanks for any help anyone on find or suggestion, Lois

We have been to the cemetery in Rupert Vt. and to Connecticut also. We had checked the Menomonee town in western Wi. and did not find them there so we checked your web site and found their names.
