I'm having such great success with Carl and Friedericka Malsch, I'm wondering if I might ask you for help with Friedericka's brother, Charles Harme/Harms/Harmes. According to the 1880 Census, Charles married a woman named Lowenia. In trying to find this marriage, I found a FamilySearch IGI record for a Carl Harms marriage to a Louisa Dorothea Helena Schulz in Walworth WI in 1872. (Again, the date is a bit off, as it was for Karl and Friedericka Malsch, but I'm wondering if this is due to a delay by the small rural churches in making their reports. Fredericka's and Charles' stepfather, Christian Pagel was the minister for the Wheatland German Methodist Church, which I understand doesn't exist anymore.) This FamilySearch record is encouraging because it notes Charles/Carl Harms parents names, so I think I'm getting closer to finding my gg grandmother's maiden name.
