My Rokenbrodt relative, William J. Rokenbrodt, married Ida M. Williams. I had always thought the daughter listed in the news article about his death in 1934 was the daughter of this marriage. Not so. William Rokenbrodt married Ida Williams on 20 December 1893. She was either preganant with Georgia or had recently given birth, because Georgia was presumed to have been born in 1893 or 1894. Don't know what happened to the first husband of Ida. Curious that when Ida married William Rokenbrodt, she appeared to use her maiden name, Williams, rather that the surname of her first husband. Shirley found that: Ida was previously married to a Dougal and had one child, Georgia, born in 1893 or 1894. Georgia married Charles G. Sawyer and they had three children - George, Lillie Mae (Libby) and Margaret (Marguerite). [Marguerite married William Stuver] Something happened to this marriage because around 1912, Georgia married Leo Wheeler. In the William J. Rokenbrodt family plot in the Darien Cemetery, William Stuver is in grave 1, William J. Rokenbrodt is in gave 2, his wife Ida M., is in gave 3, Mrs. Georgia Wheeler is in grave 6 and Larry Stuver is in grave 7. Lillie Mae Sawyer, born in 1907 and died 12 Jun 1912 is in grave 8. Graves 4 and 5 are apparently empty. I don't have any more information on Leo Wheeler. Georgia was living with Marguerite and Bill Stuver in 1929. You note that Leo Wheeler is in the 1930 census, so perhaps he was living in the same home. Georgia died in 1960. Maybe this information will help your "Wheeler" family story.
