And the possibilities you have found. I am searching for information about Matilda's parents, any other possible siblings other than her sisters Roxy and Lucinda as well as any family members for Asa P Williams. I'm stumped as to why Matilda moved to Wisconsin leaving behind a sister in Illinois while sister Lucinda and mother Dorcas Fox moved to Iowa. There simply had to be some compelling reason for moving alone with her children to Wisconsin. Asa having died in 1863, it is unlikely that he was the father of Lettie and impossible for him to be the father of Angelina. I am hoping for a family connection there perhaps leading to illumination of previous generations of Williams'. Do you know when the Congregationalist church was built in Elkhorn? My oldest sis sometimes has a table at the flea market there. If the church was around in 1870 I might be able to persuade her to make inquiries there.
