I have much information about them, but not in a format that I can easily email to you. I can point you to the records, or send you bits a pieces and let you put them together neatly. Do you have access to a Family Hisotry Center and/or Ancestry.com? My connection is unclear, except that I know there is a connection. At about the same time period as the original 4 brothers, although a bit later (1846 or so) a Joseph S. Godfrey and a William Godfrey came to Whitewater, WI together, and lived together. Joseph is mentioned in a letter my gg grandmother wrote to her son John in 1875 and refers to him as "Uncle Joseph". In researching the Godfreys in WI, it is unclear what relationship Joseph and William had to the original four brothers--your John, Thomas, Roley and Samuel, but they lived in close proximity and had land disputes between them.
