Anson's parents were Phillip Clapper and Lozette Anderson. I am from the Anderson side. Lozette's parents were Thomas T. Anderson and Clarissa Prince. Part of the Anderson family settled in Kane County, IL. Lozette had a previous marriage to Peter Van Horn. Lozette's sister Lucy Anderson married Henry Van Horn. These Clapper and Van Horn familes lived beside each other for decades on the Census. Also by them is what I beleive to be Francis Rokenbrodt's family also. ***In 1850 Sharon, Walworth WI: There's Peter Van Horne 33, Lozette Anderson 26, and Mary Clapper age 15. Nearby is Henry Van Horn 45 with John Van Horn 60 & Rachel Van Horn 60. All in 1850 are from NY. ***In 1860 Allens Grove, Sharon, Walworth WI: There's Henry Van Horn 42 with Lucy Anderson (listed as Mary), and Frank Van Horn. Next door is Mathias Rokenbroke 48 born Germany. Margaret age 52 born Wistenburg?, Their children: Jacob 21 PA, Catherine 18 PA, Frances 16 PA, Joseph 14 Wisc., Wilena 8 Wisc., Mary 7 Wisc. Also in house: Frederick Wirsdeck 28 born Germany and Mary age 8 months born Wisc. (Census enumerated in Jun 1860.) -The very next house is Philip Clapper with Lozette Anderson (formerly married to Peter Van Horn)with children Anson 19 (married Fannie next door), Frances 11, Julietta 9, Louisa 7, Homer 4. ***In 1870 in Sharon, Walworth, WI Philip and Lozette are next door to Anson and Fannie. Fannie is listed as born in PA, age 27. Their children are: Ida J. 9, Lydia 6, Sherman 5, Franklin 3. Fannie's Rokenbrodt parents live 2 doors away.M. (Mathias) 59, Margaret 63, Joseph 24, MaryAnn 16. ***In 1880 Anson and Fannie are living in Sharon, Walworth WI: they have at home: Lydia 16, Sherman 12, Frank 10, Nellie 8, Maude 6. Next door is Frank Van Horn,who is Anson's first cousin. Fannie is listed as born in PA and both parents born in Westenburg. (Germany?) Anson's father Phillip Clapper (recently widowed) is also living next door with Anson's sister Francis. Next door to Francis is Fannie's parents Mathias and Margaret. They are both unable to read and write. Margaret and both parents are listed as born in Westenburg. Mathias is listed as born in Switzerland with both of his parents born in Germany. Fannie's brother Jacob Rokenbrodt is living two doors away. ***In 1900 Anson and Frank Clapper & Van Horn family are still in Walworth. Anson is listed as born Jul 1840, Fannie as Oct 1844, and children Margaret born Feb 1881 and George Jan 1883. Fannie is the mother of 9 children, 8 living.
