He was born 8 Sept 1840 in New Hounsfield NY, moved to Walworth Wisc sometime in 1857 and lived with his brother Levi until he went to fight in the Civil War, where he was badly wounded. He came home, married Mary Elizabeth Derr from Chicago, and they left the area around 1871. Any info about Jacob, his brothers or their descendants would be appreciated.
