Thank you for sharing this interesting account. Was this written by Cyrus Church? It wasn't clear to me from reading it, as he seems to talk about Cyrus Church in the third person. My great great grandfather John Wood came to Walworth County about the same time, settling in the Troy or Elkhorn area; also his future brother in law Charles C. Perrin. Barry Wood
