John was a carpenter and worked for George Esterley in the reaper shops. He died in Whitewater. John played the drums while his brothers Wm & Job played the fifes in all the parades and gatherings. His first wife died in NY. John & Abigail's children were Daintha, Electa, Ruth, and John Wesley. John's next wife was Miss Spaulding. They had one daughter Izetta.
