I am not the free lookup person you are responding to, but I just wanted to mention that Walworth County doesn't have birth certificates as early as 1840. We had only begun to be settled in the latter part of 1830. I cannot remember seeing a birth certificate, and then rare, till after 1870 or so. Just so you know this little tidbit.
