He married Ruth Peterson. Vernie was born in Fulton, MO on 25 Dec 1893. We believe that Ruth was born in 1898. His Draft Registration Card states that they lived on Dodge St in Lake Geneva. He worked as a chauffeur for a Mr. E G Potter. Soon thereafter they must have left that area and moved to Chicago where in 1918 their daughter LaVerne was born. We do not have any official records pertaining to Ruth. We do have a letter by a Clara Williams that seems to indicate that Ruth had a brother named Walter. We also belive that her father was born in Denmark and her mother in Sweden. Any information or help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Pete Z.
