    3. Richard, I have no idea if these people are related to those you are looking for but there was a family or couple named Beardsley who lived on Eagle Springs Lake, which is just into neighboring Waukesha Co. when I was growing up--1960s and beyond. I never encountered them personally, but I recall they had a sign with their name at the entrance to their long driveway on a shared private road. I passed it hundreds of times. Their house would have had frontage on a bay at Upper Clark's Park in Town of Eagle. Good luck. I have a full Ancestry.com subscription, and can sometimes find tidbits of info in odd places. You might find Marinette County records in the city of Marinette, Marinette, WI. The library there has a resource room, mostly for the city of Marinette, but you might find other info as well. Local papers may have info, especially since son Clyde died in WWII. A local American Legion may have info? This site may help you locate Mocco families int he area, and guess at family relationships. I often start here, and google names and locations for addresses or phone numbers. You might try sending letters to them, explaning who you are and what you are looking for. If I think I have the right person, I often include a small family tree - no living people. Enclose a self addressed stamped envelope, and ask that they let you know if they are not the right person, or right person but not interested & you won't "bother" them again, or the right person with interest. I have found that even the ones not interested will pass info to family members that are interested, and have always had a response. Include your phone number, address, e-mail, etc. http://www.privateeye.com/Search/People/Default.htm **** Another source may be: http://www.archives.gov/genealogy/ Depending on relationships, you may be able to get Clydes military info - listing next of kin, etc. Ask for medical records - they give more info, and you have to ask specifically for them. Since he received a Purple Heart - you should ask for the paperwork on it. They should give you a detailed account of how he earned it. All of this is free, and although it says a number of weeks, I found I received info about 10 days after mailing the signed paper. ********** Since he worked for the Railroad, there may be info on that as well. The RR usually provided a pension, and often has a variety of records. ************* Son Mervell(sp?) was in Portland, OR in 1943 - WWII timeframe from his draft card, and a musician. Maybe he was in a guild, or a local band that was in a newspaper at that place/time. Yet, he died in WI. Using people search/google/Ancestry US Public Records, you find that Mervell's wife Katie is probably still alive and in Milwaukee/Oak Creek area. Probably with a daughter or daughter in law. ******************* If her SIL is Katie Mocco, and her maiden name was Mocco, she is probably another child of Arthur and Ida??? http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4196/is_20000820/ai_n10625300 Budish, Della M. The MACAU/MOCCO family came to N.E. Wisconsin from Belgium in 1864. Arthur Mocco and his family are a "lost" branch for me. I Arthur listed as living in East Troy at the tikme of his father's death in 1945. Unfortunately I missed the family when I checked the 1930 Census. Thanks for listing it for me. Right now I'm working forward (down) on this branch of the family. I thought maybe I'd find a "family" genealogist in Walworth Co. Are you "connected" to the Mocco family? If you're interested I have a bit of information that I'd be happy to share. This family has been difficult because 4 families came to N.E Wis. from Belgium. 2 were from Meux and spelled their name Maccaux. 2 were from Beauvechain and spelled their name Macau. Over time many changed their spelling to Mocco or Macco. Sorry I wasn't more specific in my query. Thanks again for all the information. If it's OK I'll get back to you after I've gotten through the data you sent. Ken Guilette South Barrington, IL Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
