Surnames: Sanders, Hurdis Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/QFC.2ACE/758 Message Board Post: I'm looking for birth, marriage, and/or death certificates for William Sanders and Anna Hurdis Sanders. William was born in Walworth County around 1851, but I didn't find a birth certificate for him at the WI Historical Society. Anna Hurdis was born in England around 1857. I believe they would have been married before 1878. The 1880 census shows them living in Spring Prairie with daughters Alva and Bell. They had two other daughters, Neva and Blanche, and possibly a third. I'm told Anna died when the children were young, probably between 1890 and 1900. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

I am interested if the name of his parents are on it and also if place of birth is too. Paul married Mabel Morrison and they had 2 sons, one died at birth(in Elkhorn unmarked grave at cemetery by his parents) and the other one was John Robert Hughes 1920-1996(my father). I loose all trace of the Hughes's once I try to go further back. What I understand is that Paul's parents lived in Milwaukee but I don't have correct names or place of birth on Paul. Anything you can find is VERY much appreciated. Thank you so very much. Thank you, Jane

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/QFC.2ACE/512.2.1 Message Board Post: Hello Julie, I am not the same Sandy you replied to but I was looking into the BLACKMAN family simply because there was a Horace Scott living next door to Alva and Almira in 1855. I assume this is my Horace Scott because out of the other Horace Scotts which lived in Rock Co., WI mine was the only one which did not have a wife. I am pretty sure his wife died by the time he came to WI. Anyhow, Horace Scott lived in Bridgewater, NY 1830 and 1840 so I thought there must be some relation. There were a whole slew of Scott families living in the vicinity of the Blackman's but research shows these Scott's were not from NY. At first I thought maybe Almira (Briggs) Blackman was a sister to Horace, but your message has told me that she was a Briggs. Horace had a sister named Almira, but she was born about 1796. Do you have any info on the Blackman's having any ties to the Scott's or other families of Bridgewater, NY? The children that I know of for my Horace M. Scott are Edmund E. 1821, NY John H. 1836, NY Almira V. 1840, NY The family is first found there in WI - 1855, Bradford Co., WI and Beloit 1860 and Oregon Twp., Dane WI for 1870 and they dissappear. Almira V. Scott 1840, NY is my 2nd great grandmother and she married Isaac Newton JEFFERS and Horace is in their household for 1860, Horace was a physician and by Beloit city directories I find him as a botanical physician. Thanks, Sandy
