It doesn't give the name of the tavern at the time, but I thought it might be of interest to you. Fischer's Bar Mrs. Amy Labell started it as a tavern, then Gust Volkman to John Ramminger to Ted Hagen to Joe and Bernice Fischer. Joe and Bernice Fischer began business October 8, 1941. Seven weeks later they had a fire and burned out completely. They rebuilt and resumed their business in their new building on Valentine's day, February 14, 1942.
