Neises Wednesday, July 28, 2004 Daniel Louis Neises, 69, of Burkburnett, Texas, and formerly of Hudson, died at his home in Burkburnett on Friday, July 16. Funeral services were Wednesday, July 21, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Burkburnett with the Rev. Hoa Nguyen officiating. Burial was in Burkburnett Cemetery. He was born Sept. 22, 1934, in Cass Lake, Minn., the son of Matthew J. and Ann (Urban) Neises, came to Hudson with his family in the late 1940s, and graduated from Hudson High School in 1952. He retired from the U. S Army in 1977, after 22 years, serving in Germany, Hawaii and two tours of duty in Vietnam and received the Bronze Medal. On Nov.11, 1989, he was married to Carolyn Cox Dering. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Burkburnett and a past president of the North Texas Gem and Metal Society and presented rock talks to grade school children. His hobby was cutting and polishing stones for jewelry. He was generous to the Grace Ministries in Burkburnett and St. Joseph Indian Schools in North Dakota. Survivors are his wife, Carolyn Neises of Burkburnett; three sons, Daniel (Jillana) Neises Jr., and Matt (Lorinda) Neises, both of Burkburnett and Mark Neises of Arlington, Texas; a step daughter, Tracey (Brandon) Presley of Arlington; a brother, Paul Neises of Burkburnett; two sisters, K-Ann Robbins of Lakeland Shores, Minn., and Patricia Stevenson of San Ramon, Calif.; seven grandchildren Tabitha Neises, Carolyn Neises, Chelsey Neises, Carrieann Neises, Alexandria Presley, MacKenzie Presley and Michael McKee.
