Mass of Christian Burial was at 2 p.m. Monday, June 21, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Bayport. There was a visitation at the church from noon until the time of the service. Private burial was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. She was born in Hudson, Feb. 14, 1921, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Richie, and attended St. Patrick’s Catholic School and Hudson High School. On Dec. 27, 1940, she was married to Owen M. Johnson, and they made their home in Stillwater. For many years she was one of the principle waitresses at the legendary Holcomb’s Restaurant in Houlton. She also was known as a talented cook with a specialty of homemade ravioli. Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, Owen Johnson, in 1973. Surviving are three sons, Peter Johnson and Raymond (Jeneen) Johnson, both of Stillwater, and Richie Johnson of St. Croix Beach, Minn.; three daughters, Sharon (David) Cole of Stillwater, Kathy (John) Rogness of Hudson and Connie (Jeff) Prescott of Houlton; two sisters, Carolyn Raddatz of Bakersfield, Calif., and Sr. Carmella Richie of Fond du Lac; two brothers, Michael Richie of Hudson and Peter Richie of Bloomington, Minn.; and two sisters-in-law, Joan (Ryan) Richie of Hudson and Marge Johnson of Stillwater. © 2004 Hudson Star-Observer - Reposted by permission http://www.hudsonstarobserver.com/main.asp?Search=1&ArticleID=11012&SectionID=3&SubSectionID=54&S=1
