Her husband, who died Sept, 24, 2003, was a graduate of Hudson High School in 1936 and of Gustavus Adolphus College in 1940 and spent more than 40 years as an educator in Minnesota, mostly in Hopkins. He was the son of the late Albert and Olga Edstrom. A memorial service was at 11a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Hopkins. Survivors are a daughter, Mary Ofstie of Minnetonka, Minn.; two granddaughters, Lisa (Aaron) Poley of Semi Valley, Calif., and Rachel Ofstie of New York City; a great-grandson, Luke; and a brother, Donald (Meredith) Peterson.
