Schreiner, 93 Friday, August 13, 2004 Alice A. Schreiner, 93, of Hudson died Tuesday, Aug. 3, at the Christian Community Home in Hudson. She was born in St. Paul, June 25, 1911, the daughter of Harry and Clara (Sheeks) Hardenbrook, raised in St. Paul’s Eastside and graduated from Johnson High School in 1931. On Oct. 23, 1947, she married Elmer Schreiner. She and her husband continued to live on the Eastside where she was primarily a wife, mother and homemaker. When her husband retired from Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company in 1978, they moved to Deer Park. However, after her husband’s death, in 1987, she moved to Hudson to be with her son, Jim. While in Hudson, she volunteered at the Christian Community Home and her church. In 2002 she was named an “Outstanding Senior Citizen” finalist for St. Croix County. Surviving are her son, Jim, and wife Becky of the U.S. Air Force; two grandchildren, Timothy J. (Amy) Schreiner of Hudson and Christina (Kevin) Baker of River Falls; and a brother, Clinton Hardenbrook of Frederick, Md. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 9, at the United Methodist Church in Hudson with the Rev. Dr. Joan Goebel officiating. Music was provided by the Commitment Quartet accompanied by Jodell Krause and vocalist Adele Dolan. A visitation was from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, at Bakken-Young Funeral Home in Hudson. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Mahtomedi, Minn., with Timothy Schreiner, Amy Schreiner, Christina Baker, Jack Hardenbrook, Peter Post, Mary Post, Jeanette Plummer and Dave Naegeli as the pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Kevin Baker, Keith Hardenbrook, Dallas Hardenbrook, Larry Schreiner, Darrell Schreiner, David Griffith, KC Jones, Al Schultz and Mike Cashman.
