She was born Feb. 25, 1923, in New Richmond, the daughter of William and Ella (Schmeck) Rosenow, and graduated from New Richmond High School in 1942. On Nov. 17, 1945, she was married in Somerset to George Samuel “Bud” Clymer. She was an active homemaker and enjoyed sewing, embroidery quilting and was an excellent baker. She enjoyed gardening, canning her garden vegetables and feeding the birds. She was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church and she and other members made quilts which they donated to others. Survivors are four children, Terry (MaryLou) Clymer, Cathy (Bill) Muckala and Neil (Denise) Clymer, all of Afton, and Carole (Jerry) Engebretson of St. Paul; nine grandchildren, Mike Bauer, Jessica (Craig) Pribnow, Joshua and Tony Muckala, Clarissa, Eddie, DeNeila and Tommy Clymer, and Casey Engebretson; and one great-grandchild, Jason Pribnow. Preceding her in death were her husband, George, in 1999 and her parents, William and Ella Rosenow. The funeral service was at noon Wednesday, Oct. 20, at the Memorial Lutheran Church in Afton, with Pastor Greg Isaacson officiating. Visitation was at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery with family serving as casket bearers. The O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson was in charge of arrangements.
