He was born Oct. 26, 1977. On May 9, 1998 in Hastings, Minn., he was married to Heather Skog. Surviving are his wife, Heather Skog; his parents, Jim and Emily LaPlante of New Richmond; his sister and her family, Ronnie, Jeff and Caden Ries of Hammond; his grandparents, Elvina Potter of New Richmond and Bob and Barb LaPlante of Amery.
