She was born in St. Paul July 24, 1913, the daughter of Gotfred and Ida MaryAnn Elmquist. On Nov 23, 1932, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in St. Paul, she was married to Albert Arthur Van Campen. Her husband died Feb. 13, 1992, in Boynton Beach, where they had made their home since 1979. Surviving are two daughters, Beverly J. (Richard G.) Maser of Eau Claire and Dottie G. (Gary W.) Mau of Lakeland; a son, Patrick (Kathy) Van Campen of Red Wing, Minn.; grandchildren Carole Maser of Las Vegas, Nev., Cheryl Hakimi of Eden Prairie, Minn., Dean Masser of Minneapolis, Greg (Jill) Mau of Longmont, Colo., Steven (Maureen) Mau of Baxter, Minn., and Nancy (Michael McGrath) of St. Paul; nine great-grandchildren, Tiffany Rankin of Las Vegas, Reilly and Rebecca Mau of Longmont, Colo., Austin, Annika and Ryan Mau of Baxter, Minn., Devon and Gracey McGrath of St. Paul and Lucas Hakini of Eden Prairie, Minn.; and a sister-in-law, Norah Van Campen in Northfield, Minn. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Albert; three brothers, Roy, Jack and Arthur Elmquist; a sister, Dorothy Harrod Gagnon; and a grandson, David Maser. The memorial service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, at the St. Croix Valley Methodist Church in Lakeland. A lunch will follow the service. The family requests no flowers. Memorials may be given to the St. Croix Valley United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
