He was born June 11, 1942, in Hudson, the son of Virgil J. and Florence R. (Williamson) Becker. As a youngster he attended St. Patrick’s Catholic Grade School and graduated from Hudson High School in the class of 1960. On Sept. 26, 1964 , he was married to Carol Jean Benedict at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in River Falls. He was employed at Nor-Lake Inc. in Hudson as a refrigeration technician supervisor and also worked for Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company during his career. He was an active member of the Roberts Lions Club and had been a volunteer fireman for the Roberts-Warren Fire Department. Survivors are his wife, Carol; three sons, Dennis Becker and Daniel (Jodi) Becker, both of Minneapolis, and David (Janie) Becker of Roberts; three grandchildren, Zachary, Bryce and Nathan; a sister, Nancy Jane (William) Foley of Fulton, Ill. Preceding him in death were his father, Virgil Becker, in 1980 and his mother, Florence Becker, in 1999. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 27, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hammond, with Father Gerald Harris officiating. Burial will be in Warren Cemetery in Roberts where casketbearers are Tim Franklin, Harry Franklin, Fred Jourdeans, William Foster, Dan Helmueller, Rust Cox and Tom Becker.
