Born April 29, 1942, in Chicago, to Vincent and Mary (Biegler) Bystrom, he was raised and attended school in Chicago. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Feb. 7, 1964, and was honorably discharged Jan. 28, 1966. On May 15, 1992, in Bensonville, Ill, he was married to JoAnn Becker. He worked many years for K-Tech Corp. in Baldwin in the tool and die department. Surviving is his wife, JoAnn Bystrom of Hudson. Private funeral services were conducted following cremation through the O’Connell Family Funeral Homes.
