Peterson, 96 Friday, September 03, 2004 Vangie T. Peterson, 96, of St. Paul, who in former years was a frequent visitor in Hudson, died Tuesday, Aug. 24 at the Presbyterian Home in Roseville, Minn. She was the widow of Ernest C. “Ernie” Peterson, former executive vice president of Brown & Bigelow in St. Paul, who died 1997. They were married in Essex, Iowa, in 1931. For many years, from 1957 to 1973, they maintained a residence on Bass Lake, in the town of St. Joseph, St. Croix County. The also formerly lived in Edina, Minn., and in Sun City, Ariz. She was born in Bird Island, Minn., April 5, 1908, the daughter of George and Alma (Anderson) Tennis. One of her greatest pleasures was entertaining family and friends, either at home, on their boat or in later years in Sun City. Surviving are two sons, Dwight (Marge) Peterson of North Oaks, Minn., and Bruce (Therese) Peterson of Minneapolis; seven grandchildren, Scott (Jenny), Kent, Brett (Robin), Elizabeth, Michael (Jill), Chanda and Chad; and several great-grandchildren. A memorial service was at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, at Hennepin Avenue Methodist Church in Minneapolis. Private burial was in Sunset Memorial Park in Minneapolis.
