Pearson, 72 Friday, November 05, 2004 Charles E. Pearson, 72, of River Falls died of vasculitis Saturday, Oct. 30, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn. He was born in River Falls, March 12, 1932, the son of Newton and Edith (Clausen) Pearson, attended Mann Valley School and graduated from River Falls High School in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army Engineer Corps. On March 14, 1953, he married to Donna Reed. For more than 30 years he farmed on the family farm in Mann Valley and sold real estate. He served on the board of the River Falls Equity Co-op, was a member of the United Methodist Church, serving on the trustee and finance committees, and was a 4-H Club leader. He loved to fish, play golf, camping, spending winters in Florida and playing cards. Surviving are his wife, Donna; three daughters, Cathy (Bob) Hamblin of Hayward, Cindy Pearson of Tian Jin, China, and Gwen (Byron) Hop of New Richmond; two sons, Daniel (Terri) Pearson and Randy Pearson, both of River Falls; nine grandchildren, Joel (Anna), Kelma and Aaron Pearson, Donald and Jeff Hamblin, Katlynn Pearson, Jack, Russell and Anna Hop; a great-grandson, Wesley Pearson; four siblings, Don (Evie) Pearson, Joan Bystrom, Carol (Martin) Krear, all of River Falls, and John (Sharon ) Pearson of Stockholm, Wis.; two sisters-in-law, Ellen Campbell of Stillwater and Julie (James) Holmes of River Falls; and a brother-in-law, Bob Easton of Albany, Ore. Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 3, at the United Methodist Church in River Falls. Memorials are preferred.
