Forbush Sr., 55 Daniel James Forbush Sr., 55, of New Richmond died Wednesday, Aug. 13, in Lake Elmo, Minn. He was born Jan. 18, 1948, the son of Newil and Ethel (Bjerke) Forbush Sr., was raised in Arnold, town of Ruby, and graduated from Lake Holcombe High School. In 1968 he entered the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. For many years he worked in Minnesota as an owner/operator for his own trucking company. Survivors are his companion of 16 years, Sue Harvieux; two daughters, Rebecca Forbush (Scott Sebastian) of Alpharetta, Ga., and Laura Forbush of New Richmond; two sons, Daniel Forbush Jr. and his wife, Rebecca Lindahl of St. Croix Beach, Minn., and Tyler Forbush of New Richmond; a brother, Newil Forbush Jr. of Sheldon; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Joshua, Michael, Shawn, DeAndre, Johnathan, Anthony and Shemiah; a brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Rita Ludvigsen of Lake Holcombe; and a brother-in-law, Jim Mataczynski of Lake Holcombe. Preceding him in death were his parents. Services were at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, at the Borton Funeral Home in Cornell with the Rev. James Leschensky officiating.
