She was born Leona Mae Richardson in Ireton, Iowa on May 4, 1925 to Millard and Grace (Hulleman) Richardson. Leona was preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Grace Richardson; husbands Lloyd Bolling and Stanley Rudesill; three brothers Harry “Dutch” Hulleman, Louis “Swede” Talsma, John “Jack” Swenson; two granddaughters, Jaime Rudesill and Jennifer Sias. Leona married Lloyd Walter Bolling of Amery Dec. 5, 1942. Together they had two daughters, Sharone Lee and Sandra Kay. On April 6, 1948, Leona married Stanely Leslie Rudesill of Baldwin, and they had two sons, Bruce Duane and Randy Stuart. Stanley passed away Jan. 19, 1987. Then on May 20, 1994, Leona married Richard O. Aamodt of Minneapolis, Minn. Her leisure activities included crafts, crocheting, gardening, cooking and outdoor activities. She is survived by two sons, Bruce (Carol) Rudesill of Rice Lake, Randy (Ruth) Rudesill of Lumber Bridge, N.C.; two daughters, Sharone (Jim) Bolling Vearrier of Mission Viejo, Calif., Sandra (Marvin) Bolling Sias of Clear Lake; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Darrell “Bud” Richardson of Amery, Glenn “Tony” Talsma of Burke, S.D.; one sister, Iris DeBoer of Clear Lake; and ex-husband Richard Aamodt of New Richmond. Funeral services were Tuesday, Aug. 5 at the Beebe Mortuary in New Richmond with Pastor Larry Jorstad officiating. Honorary pallbearers were grandsons, Wayne Sias, Corey Sias, Matthew Sias, Joshua Sias, David Vearrier, and David Rudesill.
