He was born in Cornell on March 22, 1948 to Ludewig and Alice (Nelson) Audorff. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Ludewig; a sister, Phoebe McElhannon and a brother David. Lynn is survived by five sisters, Ruth Tallman of Houston, Texas, Harriet McElhannon, Lennah Moore, and R. Jane “Jo” Audorff-Neytchev all of Glendale, Ariz., and Lois Audorff-Meyer of New Richmond. Also surviving are 10 nieces and nephews; 16 great-nieces and nephews; 11 adopted nieces and nephews, and his faithful companion and best friend “Charlie”. Funeral services were held Friday, July 18 at First Lutheran Church in New Richmond with Pastor Larry Jorstad officiating. Organist was Mary Ann Hanson and vocalist was Jeri Ann Talmage. Casketbearers were Paul Charland, Jacques Charland, Josh Charland, Cecil Audorff, Dave DeJongh, and Craig Nelson. Military honors and interment took place in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
