Butch graduated from New Richmond High School in 1968. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran (1969-1973) and worked for Fabri-Tek, DMA; Amery Computer Technologies. He lived in Deer Park for 25 years. He married Nancy Cole on May 31, 1975. He is preceded in death by his father Russell and grandparents. Donavan is survived by his wife Nancy; son Sean (Kimberly) of St. Paul; mother Mildred of New Richmond; sisters, Shirley Osterhaus (Roger Mullen) of Hudson; Ruth (Dick) VanKeuren of River Falls; one niece and four nephews; seven great nieces and nephews; in-laws Gladys and Wayne Cole of Amery; brother-in-law Jeff Cole of Star Prairie. Mass of Christian Burial is at 11 a.m. today (Thursday) July 31, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Somerset. Visitation was from 4-8 pm Wednesday at Cullen Funeral Home, New Richmond. Prayer service was at 7:30 p.m. Interment is private. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
