She was born July 24, 1934, in El Paso, town of Gilman, Pierce County, the daughter of Waldo Emerson and Isabelle Grace (Jones) Kirkpatrick, and was raised in Hudson, where she attended school. On Dec. 16, 1966, in Parker, Colo., she was married to Dieter Moser, and in 1979 the couple built their home in Aurora, Colo. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Third World countries, to learn their cultures. To her, education and knowledge were very important and she read intensively in anthropology and religion. After her retirement she earned an associate and a bachelor’s degree from Columbia College in Denver, Colo. One of her greatest joys in life was the faithful companionship of her pet dogs, Sheena, Katie, Binker, Buzz and Fefe. Preceding her in death were her parents, and her husband, Dieter, in 1994. Surviving are a brother, David E. (Patricia) Kirkpatrick of Hudson; and four sisters, Rochelle M. Roth of Woodville, Sarah C. Butler of Boyceville, Sheila Rae Kirkpatrick of North Hudson and Pamela K. Baribeau of St. Paul. Funeral services were Friday, Aug. 8, at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson with Pastor Dennis Nelson officiating. Music was by Ruth Ashwood. Burial was in Willow River Cemetery with her family serving as casketbearers.
