Owings, 61 Carol Linda Owings, 61, of Baldwin, and formerly of New York, died at her home Saturday, Aug. 2. She was born in Naponach-Port Jervis, N.Y., Feb. 1, 1942, the daughter of Kenneth and Edna (Hicks) Conklin, and attended school in New York. She was married twice, first to Robert Nadeau, who preceded her in death, and then to Leo G. Owings. She was a homemaker, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hudson and enjoyed spending time with her family and baking. Survivors are her husband, Leo G. Owings; her mother, Edna Hicks Conklin of Huguenot, N.Y.; three sons, Jeffrey Nadeau of Georgia, Alcid J. Nadeau of Eagan, Minn., and Lee Owings of Menomonie; six daughters, Annette Edburg of Baldwin, Diane Olver of Honesdale, Penn., Denise Hague of Spring Valley, Annie Olver of Pen Argyl, Penn., Karen and Bonnie Lynn Owings, both of Menomonie; two brothers, Kenneth (Judy) Conklin and David (Sherry) Conklin, both of Huguenot, N.Y.; three sisters, Barbara Diaz of Port Jervis, N.Y., Judy Groover of Sparrowbush, N.Y., and Patricia (Roy) Goddard of Monroe; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Preceding her in death were her first husband, Robert Nadeau, and her father, Kenneth Conklin. The funeral service was at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, at Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home in Port Jervis, N.Y., with Bishop Tim Oustrich officiating. Burial was in the Rural Valley Cemetery in Cuddebackville, N.Y. A local memorial service will be at a later date to be announced.
