She was born March 3, 1903, in West Albany, Minn., the daughter of James and Mary (Muldoon) Cronin. She graduated from high school in Lake City, Minn., after which she received teachers training and taught school. In 1929 in Lake City, Minn., she was married to Adolph Pearson. A homemaker and a devoted mother of eight, she enjoyed working and providing for her family on their farm. She was an avid swimmer and a Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan. She was a lifetime member of St. James Catholic Church and its Ladies Guild and Circle in St. Paul. Surviving are her eight children, Lavonne Anderson of San Francisco, Mary Pearson of St. Paul, Richard N. (Jean) Pearson of Hudson, Donna Mayer of Modesto, Calif., Patricia Snyder of Delray Beach, Fla., Robert Pearson of Clear Lake, Minn., Margaret (John) Machi of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Mark Pearson of Oakdale, Minn.; 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, Adolph, on Dec. 19, 1975, four sisters and two brothers. Mass of Christian Burial was at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at St. James Catholic Church in St. Paul with Father Dennis Dempsey officiating and the church choir providing music. Visitation was one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery in North St. Paul. Memorials are preferred to the donor’s choice.
