She grew up and attended school in Stillwater. It was in Stillwater that she also met Edwin D. Bernstein. Gloria and Ed were united in marriage on June 25, 1960 in Clayton and were blessed with two daughters. After marriage Gloria and Ed lived in Hammond, and in 1968 they moved to Somerset where they lived until moving to Clayton in 2001. While living in Somerset, Gloria taught Sunday school and was active with the ALCW at Christ Lutheran Church. She drove school bus for 26 years. She loved to cook and always was there for her family and friends. She also enjoyed her garden and loved to feed the birds. On Wednesday, May 7 Gloria passed away at the Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, Minn. at the age of 59. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Helen; sisters Violet, Lorraine, Delores, and Betty Lou; and brother Ronnie. She will be deeply missed by her husband Ed; daughters, Deborah (Todd) Nielsen and Barbara Bernstein; brothers, Donald (Marvel), Richard (Barb), and Glendon (Barbara); sisters, Bernice and Gladys, and many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 10 at Faith Lutheran Church in Clayton with Revs. Loren and Linda Schumacher officiating. Organist was Carol Van Heuklom. Casketbearers were Anthony Fall, Doug Edman, Todd Nielsen, Donald Lutz, John Davis, Brett Weller, Richard Lutz and Glendon Lutz.
