He was born May 21, 1922, in Woodbury, Minn., to Edwin and Lillian Triebold, and operated a dairy farm in St. Croix County from 1947 until 1973. Preceding him in death were his wife of 52 years, Florence (Friberg), who died in 1994; two brothers, Richard and Glen; and a grandson, Rodney Evenson. Surviving are two sons, Edwin (Sharon) Triebold and Leonard (Diane) Triebold of Roberts; a daughter, Carol (Dale) Evenson of Hillsdale; grandchildren and a great-grandchild; a brother, Robert (Donna) Triebold of Emerald; and a sister, Lorraine Affolter of Woodville. Services were Saturday, Jan. 18, 1 p.m., at the United Methodist Church in River Falls with the Rev. Janet Ellinger officiating. Burial was in the German Settlement Cemetery in Troy Township, St. Croix County. Pallbearers were Todd, Brad, Mark, Keith and Brian Triebold, Hally Waltz, Chad and Wade Evenson.
