She was born March 28, 1956, in Baldwin, the daughter of Walter and Audrey (Moeller) Pieper, and graduated from St. Croix Central High School in Hammond. After finishing high school she worked as a nurse's aide in Parkview Nursing Home in Woodville. She also worked at Toro Manufacturing in North Hudson, as a waitress at the Coachman Supper Club and as a clerk at the Gregerson Hardware, both in Baldwin. On Feb. 12, 1977, at the Presbyterian Church in Baldwin, she was married to Dean "Barney" Norden. Most recently she was employed as a waitress at LaBon's Truck Stop in Hudson and as a claims service assistant for State Farm Insurance Co. in Woodbury, Minn. She loved bowling, and she and her husband bowled for many years at Bol's Lanes. She also was an avid bird watcher, a talented seamstress and a proud grandmother. Survivors are her husband, Dean, three children, Jason, Kelly and April, all of Baldwin; two grandchildren, Devin and Payton; and five sisters, Joanne Rattei of Scandia, Minn., Darlene (Gary) Kassube of Eagan, Minn., Donna (Ron) Medin of Fridley, Minn., Gerri Lee of Osceola and Lucy (Keith) Doornink of Baldwin. Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother-in-law, Jerome Rattei. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, at the United First Presbyterian Church in Baldwin with Pastor Don Shilts of the Bible Center Church in Maiden Rock officiating. Burial was in the Baldwin Cemetery, where Jeff Doornink, Justin Lee, Jim Medin, Greg Kassube, Tim Sackett and Blair Gunderson were casketbearers.
