Wert, 86, died Sept. 21, 2002 Baya L. Wert, 86, of Stillwater, Minn., died Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Linden Heathcare Center in Stillwater. She was born in Somerset, Oct. 2, 1915, the daughter of Gust H. and Lillian (Kress) Brown. On October 10, 1936, in Stillwater, she was married to Reynold Wert. Preceding her in death were her parents, Gust and Lily Brown; her husband, Reynold, in 1989; and three brothers, Earl and Milton Brown, both in 1996, and Gilbert Brown in 1998. Surviving are her son, Wayne (Lisa) Wert of St. Anthony, Minn.; a grandson, Christopher (Nadine) Wert; a great-grandson, Ethan; four brothers, Ray (Eleanore) Brown of Hudson, Russell Brown of Somerset, Floyd (Joan) Brown of Maplewood, Minn., and Gust (Bonnie) Brown of Osceola and Fort Myers, Fla.; two sisters, Elsie (Clarence) Miller and Ethel (Edward) Lyksett, both of Hudson, and two sisters-in-law, Darlene Brown of Dresser and Arline Brown of Stillwater. The funeral service was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stillwater with burial at Emmanuel Cemetery. Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Stillwater.
