Johnson, 77 Glenn I. Johnson, 77, of Cumberland, and formerly of Hudson, died Monday, Oct. 21, at the Cumberland Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 30, 1925, in Ashland, the son of Ingvald and Gilda (Anderson) Johnson. On Dec. 21, 1945, in St. Paul, Minn., he was married to Marilyn Lohman, who died May 21, 1980. He was remarried in Las Vegas, Nev., May 23, 1981, to Karen Larson. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy as a Pharmacist Mate 3rd Class and was a retired bread salesman for Metz Baking Company. He loved the water - drinking it, fishing in the small streams or watching the boats in the harbor. He relished winning an argument with honor and was a vital and supportive partner in his wife's ministry. Survivors are his wife, the Rev. Karen L. Johnson of Cumberland, a former pastor at Bethel Lutheran Church in Hudson until she received a call from Cumberland in August 1997. Other survivors include two sons, Donald (Betsy) Johnson of St. Paul and David (Debbie) McLean of Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter, Lynda Johnson of St. Paul; and four grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher and Zachary Johnson of St. Paul and Matthew Holden McLean of Atlanta. Preceding him in death were his parents and his first wife, Marilyn.
