Volker, 84 Charlotte Reed Volker, 84, of Hudson died Monday, Nov. 18, at Hudson Hospital. She was born March 7, 1918, in Sextonville, the daughter of Earl and Alice (Johnson) Reed. On June 18, 1937, in Waukon, Iowa, she was married to Arthur Volker, who preceded her in death Nov. 4, 1977. Later, in 1985, she was married to Clieve Frazier. She was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church, a member of Mercy Rebekah Lodge in Hudson and the Women of the Moose Lodge in Hayward. Her family was her main interest, though later she did work outside the home. She assisted at parties given by Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Ward at their estate east of Hudson, worked part time as a clerk at Micklesen Drug Store and at the Hudson Clinic. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting gifts for the family and polka dancing. Survivors are her daughter, Earleta "Skip" (Roger) Peterson of Hudson; three grandchildren, Lynn (Len) Rude of North Hudson, David (Cathy) Peterson of Roberts and Lori (Mark) Zimmerman of Woodbury, Minn.; five great-grandchildren Robert, David and Samantha Zimmerman and Jason and Elizabeth Rude; and two sisters, Marolyn (George) Reynolds of Harvard, Ill., and Rose Mary (Norman) Massoth of Rockford, Ill. Preceding her in death were her two husbands, Arthur Volker and Clieve Frazier, and two brothers, Wayne and Nolan Dunn. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Bethel Lutheran Church. Visitation was from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson and one hour prior to the service at the church.
