Flood, 60 Gordon Carl Flood, 60, of Hudson died of cancer at his home Monday, Dec. 9. He was born Feb. 19, 1942, in Manitowoc, the son of Ray and Henrietta (Somers) Flood. He lived most of his life in Stevens Point, where he graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School. >From 1960 to 1964, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard. In 1970, in Stevens Point, he was married to Betty Thompson. After serving in the military he was employed by the Soo Line Railroad as a railroad engineer and was transferred to Hudson in 1988, where he worked until retiring in 1992. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working in his workshop and surfing the Internet. Surviving are his wife, Betty; his children, Rick (Paula) Flood of River Falls, Mike Flood of Bloomington, Minn., Casey Flood and Laura of Hudson and Kate Flood (fiance Dave Langenohl) of Hudson; three grandchildren Macguire, Payton and Abby Flood; and a sister, Elaine King of Dover, Del. Preceding him in death were his parents, Ray and Henrietta Flood, and a brother-in-law, Robert King. Private family services were held, and burial was in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
