Brugler Josephine L. Brugler, 91, of Troy Township, St. Croix County, died early Monday morning, Nov. 11, at the Agape Residential Home in Burnsville, Minn., where she had lived for the past five weeks. She was born June 11, 1911, in Mandan, N.D., the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Duffy) Schwartz. The family moved to St. Paul, Minn., where she attended St. Luke's Elementary grade school and Central High School. On June 11, 1932, in St. Paul, she was married to Edward Brugler. She assisted her husband in managing and running Consumer Milk Co. and the Alloy Specialties in St. Paul, which they owned. She also had her own business, the North Star Magazine Agency, which she operated until her retirement. She loved gardening, bird watching, boating, sewing, her painting, writing poetry, singing, cooking and being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving are a son, James (Consoline) Brugler of Hudson; two daughters, Joanne (George) Hixson of Carrollton, Texas, and Carol (David) Enochson of Cottage Grove, Minn.; a daughter-in-law, Susanne Brugler of Shoreview, Minn.; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, a son, Edward, five sisters and a brother. Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 14 (today), from 5 to 8 p.m. at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Hudson with Fr. Peter Szleszinski officiating. Burial will be in Willow River Cemetery, where pallbearers will be Jim, John and Paul Brugler, Cari, Becky and Sam Pahr, Theresa Ryan and Dan Hixson. Memorials are preferred.
