JOHN & THOMAS HAGGERTY, brothers, my great uncles, both b: Houlton ME, 1840's, migrated to the Stillwater MN/ Houlton, St Joseph WI area 1860-70's. JOHN, a woodsman m: Margaret Grey, 1865; kids: Sara/ Sadie Ann (Keating) (Kilmer); Nancy; Charles; Mary Ann (Schilling); John; James. All b: 1860-80, Stillwater MN. THOMAS, a businessman, m: Elizabeth Curtis, 1875, kids: Anna Regina (Underwood); Geneieve (Foran); Ann (Bau); Orie (d: young). All b: 1875-80, Houlton/ St Joseph, WI. JOHN & THOMAS & families were parishioners at St Michaels RCCh in Stillwater MN. They are interred w/ other family members in St Charles/ St Michaels RCCem Bayport MN. Their parents were PETER HAGGERTY & NANCY McGUIRE, both from Ireland, who settled in the Hounton ME area. JOHN & THOMAS also had a nephew living in the St Croix valley, EDMOND PETER HAGGERTY who assumed control of Thomas's business & had other business interests in the area, married Mary Jane O'Connell, from Jewitt WI, had had 9 kids: Maurice P, Marie (Nisson) (Dunbar), Frances (Bidwell), Edward C, John James, Margaret (Fornal), Catherine, Charles P & Thomas G. The family later moved to Glendive MT. Have much family history to share. They have a long family history back to Aroostook Co Maine USA, NB Canada & Co Donegal Ireland.
