She was born Dec. 4, 1908, in Baldwin to William and Hattie (Donkersgoed) Wikkerink and received her schooling at a country school in Baldwin. On May 26, 1926, in Hudson, she was married to Elmer VandeBerg. She was a former member of the St. Croix Homemakers and enjoyed crocheting, sewing and gardening. Surviving are two daughters, Lavern (John) Wernlund of Minneapolis, Minn., and Evelyn (Clare) Stamos of Chippewa Falls; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Elmer; son, Lloyd; four sisters, Anna Wikkerink, Helen VanSomeren, Alice Brasser and Jeanette Fern; and two brothers, Arnold and Egbert Wikkerink. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. at the First Reformed Church of Baldwin with the Pastor Leon Draayer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Baldwin Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Reformed Church.
